If you are interested in learning more about biology or chemistry, or a college program you are interested in has biology or chemistry as a prerequisite, consider a SCAS science course. In our science courses you will become more scientifically literate as well as better prepared for further study in a science-related field. We do not offer any academic or 'U level' courses.
In SNC2P students develop a deeper understanding of concepts in biology, chemistry and physics. This course is an excellent preparation for Grade 11 Biology and Grade 12 Chemistry. SNC2P will be offered in September and February
Prerequisites: ESLDO
In SBI3C students study cellular biology, microbiology, genetics, animal anatomy and plants. Biology is a prerequisite for college programs in the health sciences such as registered practical nurse, lab
technician, pharmaceutical technician and dental assistant.
Prerequisites: SNC2P and ESLEO
In SCH4C students study the concepts that form the basis of modern chemistry through labs and investigations. Chemistry will prepare students for programs in the health sciences, such as registered practical nursing, lab technician or pharmaceutical technician.
